Job Overview
You will serve as the principal technical expert in facilitating interoperability of information management systems for health, such as DHIS2 and other UNICEF-funded systems. You will ensure that the data is cleaned, corrected and ready to support decision making processes, and help the government staff to use the systems independently.
Working in Balochistan, you will work directly with the Department of Health, Nutrition Directorate, and partners. This is an active position with actual work in the field rather than office work.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining smooth operations of DHIS2 and health data systems
- Assisting the Ministry of Health in making proper use of data systems
- Conducting dashboards and reporting for quick decision making
- Linking UNICEF data systems with government data systems
- Problem solving and system monitoring
- Assisting in data analysis for programs such as CFCI, Polio ISD, and others
- Reporting on program progress using dashboards and reports
- Matching the data across DHIS2, UNICEF data systems and government reports
- Training government officials in data entry and reporting
- Leading field teams in data collection
11.Preparation of guidance documents and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Attending health sector meetings to make data updates
- Data flow management among UNICEF, government and partner organizations
- Preparation of reports for program management and donors
- Capturing lessons learned for future improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, Statistics, GIS or any related discipline with four (4) years of experience.
• Master’s degree in any of the above disciplines with two (2) years of experience.
- Proficiency in DHIS2 or any other equivalent software in health information.
- Experience in working with Kobo, ArcGIS, Power BI, Tableau, SQL or any other equivalent software.
- Experience in working with Government and other stakeholders.
- At least two years of experience in Information systems/Digital Health (Preferred).
- Work experience in rural or remote areas.
- Communication skills training

A Day in the Life
The first task for the morning shift is analyzing the data obtained from the DHIS2 platform, after which you notice some problems with data in one of the districts and request the local community to rectify the situation. Then you produce a quick visual for your boss that will show the problem with the existing nutrition data.
In the afternoon, you train the health department staff on data entry and provide them with comprehensive instructions. Lastly, you produce a brief report for UNICEF that will include the existing situation.
At times you may have to go to the field to examine the data collection process.
